圖書館 (Library)

This brutalist building is the main library of National Chengchi University (國立政治大學) in Taipei. It’s quite overpowering, concretizing the weigh of knowledge symbolically as well as literally. That said, it is surprisingly stylish and inspiring once inside, with rows of books, places of study in various forms and sizes, and a stunning view outside towards the mountain ranges of Maokong. One of my favorite places to work!

(Black and white, obviously. The strong contrasts work well with this kind of architecture. I also tried to counter the strong distortion of my wide-angle lens. Is this good practice? Let me know what you think if you have experience with architecture photography!)
