Donggang Beach
Donggang Beach in itself is a rather quiescent place. It’s grey oozy sand doesn’t invite to stay, and the bony trees together with a ship that stranded after typhoon Krathon in 2024 give the scenery a post-apocalyptic flair. And yet, every three years, it becomes the staging ground of the siege and the pyre during the Donggang Welcomes the Kings Peace Ceremony 東港迎王平安祭典. Don’t miss my essay on it!
