Donggang, Donglong Temple (東隆宮)

Donglong Temple 東隆宮 is the biggest temple in the Southern township of Donggang in Pingtung County. The Taoist temple is dedicated to Wenfu Chitoise 溫王爺.

Every three years, Donglong temple organizes the big Donggang Welcomes the Kings Peace Ceremony 東港迎王平安祭典, a spiritual festival spanning eight days and seven nights at the end of which a big wooden boat it burned at the beach. During the eight days, the plaza in front of the temple becomes the center of the festivities joined by several thousand visitors.
