街頭音樂 (Street Music)

Concerts and especially festivals are probably the best way to enjoy an emotional roller-coaster with others. (Outside romantic contexts, of course!) Playing a concert, visiting a concert, dancing at a festival were definitely among the most joyful and intense moments of my life. Naturally, I didn’t take any photos then.

But there is a photo from this evening in Hanoi last November! A few hundred people gathered in the street to listen to what I assume was a random street band. The crowd, the heat of the night, a sense of youth and adventure all came together to create something magical, and the singer and his band knew well what to do with the tension in the air.

(I’m happy how the snapshot captures the moment, as I was too busy to enjoy myself to play a lot with finding the perfect angle and moment. Slight cinematic editing.)
